Current and All Time favorites?

Hi All, been awhile since I've posted a thread but felt inspired after reading some great moderns as of late. Usually I read strictly current Marvel books of characters I like as well as buy/read silver age stuff. But lately I've been really enjoying all of the non superhero stuff, especially from Image. Which brings me to ask whats everyones top 3 current titles (monthly, bi-monthly, from the big 2, or from creator owned publishers, whatever) what is everyones #1 modern series of all time (can be still on going or already complete) and last but not least the title they hope to get into next.

 

I'll kick it off:

 

Favorite current series;

 

1. Saga

2. Daredevil

3. Black Science (Still early, but really love the art and concept)

 

Favorite of all time:

 

Y: The Last Man which dethroned the Daredevil run written by Bendis.

 

Title to start reading:

 

Peter Panzerfaust. The artwork alone is enough for me to pick it up!

Favorite modern all time - Astro City

 

Modern I want to get into - Preacher - I have read all the books but it has been a while. All the TV talk has made me want to read these again.

Current

East of West: Interesting characters and world. Still early on but I like where this is going.

Chew: The art each month is enough to do it for me. The easter eggs that have me laugh out loud at every book make this a no brainer.

Trillium: Huge Lemire creator owned work fan, and this is no exception. Every issue has had me intrigued and anticipating the next one. I will be sad to see this end, but excited to see where he's heading with it at the same time.

 

 

All Time

Sweet Tooth: I only recently read this story, but it is one of the greatest stories I have ever read. I loved every minute of it and will definitely be rereading this one many times.

 

Anticipating

The Wake: I've heard great things, but have decided to trade wait this as I didn't want to go back and catch up on issues.

Lots of East of West fans out there as well as Manhattan projects. Def plan on looking into those.

 

I also noticed that theres a planetary omnibus just out. It seems like thats around the time Cassaday was producing his best work. Was easily my favorite artist during the Astonishing X-men days but he seems to be just limited to covers nowadays (shrug)

It's also somewhat surprising that the only Marvel title I see people interested in is DD. I think what makes it better received among readers is that it "feels" like an indie title in that it's more self contained from the Marvel U
