I don't know but I stumbled across those auctions this week too. There's something hinky about them.

 

In the listing they claim to be a former CGC employee in quality control but in their About Me page they speak about 'grading comics at CGC' as one of the many things they're busy doing.

 

And a few of the books they have listed as raw 9.8s are not NM/MT.

 

Too many red flags, I decided to just steer clear.

Ah, I see.

 

When I first saw the listings I tried searching heidi.spidey and didn't come up with anything.

 

But in the About Me page there's a My World link, and in that there's mention of the comics4kids "charity". And searching that, yeah, quite a story.

Can't you do both? I know when I was a kid I would have been appreciative of someone who could help me out in the porn department. This was before the internet and we had to find it ourselves.

Their website is bad enough but has anyone checked out the "staff" section? It just defies any kind of logic that would be used for anything remotely reputable.

 

Some Highlights:

 

Heidi.Spidey: (moore) picture click through leads to Salonmoxi.com

Jason McKibbin: (represented by a band photo that clicks through to a you tube video where he is singing about beer)

Damien Moore: Click through to facebook where he states he no longer works for comics4kinds and now has a job in construction?

Gary Barnes: (CEO C4K Canada, INTERNATIONAL!) his click through leads to the Prince George free press newspaper?

Dria Brown: Is all around a winner as treasurer given the pic and the click through is even more hilarious.

 

 

Who would give comics to these people (most of whom seem to no longer have any association with comics4kids), I have read the other threads but I still do not understand how someone could see any of this and actually give them the time of day.

 

Does anyone know if they have actually tricked anyone to giving "donations"?
