PGM: Nova #1 (Vol.1 1976)

7 posts in this topic

Hey Guys and Gals,

Up for your grading pleasure is issue #1 of the bronze age series, Nova.

Defects:

Copy is complete, lies completely flat, and has off white pages. Staples are clean and tight. Colors are glossy and vibrant. There are no hidden defects.

Front Defects:

Color breaking crease top right corner.

Slight staple stress mark under top staple

2 or 3 possibly very small spine tics (hard to see with the naked eye)

Back Defects:

Bottom left corner slight dog ear non color breaking

****I'm not quite sure how much to deduct for that color breaking crease. The rest of the book is pretty nice.

Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks and much appreciation to all that help!

I've got a silver age book that has a similar crease, and otherwise is a sharp book (much like yours).

CGC gave it a 5.5

looks about right to me.

Wow, I wasn't expecting that, but it is what it is. Thanks for your response!

Yeah, it's a really sharp looking book. Except for the huge crease running through the top quarter of the book.
