Now I know that most variants don't hold their value over time, but there's some that stay got like, what that what if venom/deadpool. Now steampunk variants are looking hella nice, that WW 28, DAMN!! Harley Quinn #, again DAMN!

 

Which variants have held their value?

I'm out to get some variants, and I know if I wait some will cool off and I could get them cheaper, but on the modern side, which ones do you guys think have held strong and still maintain their value? Any one here collect variants? If so which ones do you collect?

J. Scott Campbell variants tend to hold onto at least 75% of their value, which is really saying something in the world of variants.

East of West Ghost variant brings 3 to 4 times cover. The Forbidden Planet cover brings around 6 to 7 times cover and the RRp brings ridiculous money.

Sheltered, GotG, and Afterlife with Archie have done pretty well. I personally like and collect the Five Ghosts.

Most variants end at half the value of there original selling price.

I bought a few $30 variants in around 2005ish. They all sell now for $5 on a good day. The only variant I have from them that might be good down the road is the Ms. Marvel Turner sketch cover, but prolly not even that.
