This place, perception vs reality

I tend to get bored at work sometimes and tend to start topics, I don't mean to be excessive. So without further ado:

 

How has your experence been on these boards?

 

I though it would be very professional when I first joined, just to be accosted by trolls and general jerks. Luckily I found those individuals to be in the minority and most people on here are courteous at worst, to some members who are really stand up people and just fantastic human beings.

 

I'd like to thank the great people for making this forum a place where we can intelligently debate and talk our passions as well as partake in the occasional sale. :applause:

I think the drama, trolls jerks etc are cyclical. At one point there seems to be an abundance then the mods start throwing strikes and it runs some of them off for awhile. I tend to lurk for information and just browse the sales thread as attested to by my low post count. That being said, this place has the most knowledge people about a give subject, in this case comics, of any other forum I know.

It always amazed me the extent of some of the posters here. I've never claimed to know a lot about comics, but I know more than the average bear. The people here make me look like a fool though.
