Yes. I think everyone is just going by cover date for ease of reference.

I don't have a scan ,but last year at Wizard World Philly,I was looking at a dealers copy of Showcase # 11 ,3rd Challengers of the Unknown with a date stamp of my birth date Dec. 19, 1957!! I passed it up , I know i should have bought it since I own Showcase # 6,# # 7, #12 the other app. of the Challs!!

Oh Well, there's always next year, maybe he didn't sell it!!

i do not have a scanner, but i was born in february of '78 and i have an x-men 109 graded 9.8 either w or ow/w (cannot remember). either way, it is super sweet and fresh as my nephew/niece to be. it is beautiful...really.
