i know it's a 9.8 but wow. it's a nice book no doubt and i did think this book was undervalued. maybe i was wrong?

That price is insane. There are a jillion copies of it floating around out there & it's been hoarded like mad.

 

And - with NeatStuff selling it, the winner will likely get in sometime in mid-2005 - their shipping schedule is awful.

 

At least that issue is a really good one to read - highly recommended from that standpoint.

I'm at a loss on this one Is this person a collector - I just dont see alot of utility in the book at $510. I mean its a Modern / Copper - it has a horrible cover for a first appearance. I havent checked GPA - will in a sec, but this cannot be the only 9.8 if it is it will have company soon.

 

Ok a copy sold in September of 2004 for $183. Wow did someone bite the turd on this book 22 9.8 sales in the last 2 years. In fact $250 USD in October 2004.

I have no idea how you could be a HG CGC collector and NOT subscribe to GPA - or worse subscribe and pay $510..................

i have a copy graded at 9.8, so i have no complaints. maybe i should sell?

Come on this is the first appearance of Rogue. Every teenager in my neighborhood is in love with her. Claremont also. This is a major future key. Will be the next hulk 181 for the younger generation. Who cares how many are out there. There will always only be a few 9.8's. relative to this particular print run.

i'm too lazy to check the census but duranduran may be right. was this book heavily speculated? it came out when i was a toddler, but it is hard for me to imagine a great deal of people hoarding any avengers annual.

 

that being said, i have a copy of this iss in 9.8 and who am I? just another joe collector, so my insight is negligible.

Just the 24 in 9.8. And only 130 9.6's and 134 9.4's.

why, why, why, did it go for so much. all i can say is that was one lucky selller, and considering it was neatstuff, one unlucky buyer.

 

if i paid that much for that book, forget it, i am not that funny.

Ha, I can actually thank Chuck for this one. I bought my 9.8 way before the census came out and paid him $150 at the time. Nice appreciation
