I'm curious where Wonder Woman is compared to that. I haven't tackled that yet in comparing in-year Domestic versus USD adjusted inflation Domestic. But sites like Box Office Mojo have broken out Superhero Origin movies from Sequels. So by in-year USD, Wonder Woman just passed up Deadpool. By adjusted USD inflated, it still has another $1.4MM to go (today). Where it gets a little tricky with BOM's numbers when adjusting for inflation is it attempts to assume a certain # of IMAX and 3-D tickets within a given year on top of standard 2D. So instead of straight adjusted USD, you get some over-inflated numbers. In the case of Deadpool, instead of the straightforward one-year USD adjusted inflation (2016's $363.1MM would be 2017's $370.2MM), BOJ adds on a few million more assuming more guesstimated IMAX and 3-D tickets. Bosco685
1) Based on Revenue Ratio. 2) Based on Adjusted Worldwide Total (USD 2017 inflation). Wonder Woman is now just $3.25MM from Guardians 2's domestic box office. Amazing! A shame with the country bannings and the negative perception due to this being a female main hero. Would have been interesting to see equal treatment-wise how high this could go worldwide.
