Nice old store stock copies that haven't seen the light of day in 20 years.

 

When I was talking to George Perez at the Marble City Comicon about two weeks ago, he stated this book is currently one of the most popular issues that gets placed in front of him to sign. It is a great cover isn't it :cloud9:

Just basic wear on this first appearance of the Huntress. A press would help it some if you're into that. If not, it still is presentable and looks great in Mylar D :)

This is a nice copy. I wish it had a more striking gloss to it though. Structure wise its a mid NM. I priced it on the low eBay end. It's nice... but again, I need more shine ;)

This one is a heartbreaker... :(

 

TALES OF THE TEEN TITANS # 44 - COPY C - $10

 

Has all the makings (slight spine stress marks) of a lower NM, upper VF copy... BUT unfortunately the moisture stain at the top left corner that runs most of the way through the book negates that grade. Same kind of moisture at the back upper corner which can be seen in the scan. This does not run the horizontal length of the top of the book though. What would you grade it? FN? FN+? Better? Worse? (shrug)

 

It's still a blazing hot key right now for only $10. Pop it in a mylar and watch it shine and bring people to your booth. Best ten bucks of advertising out there for a small show ;)

Before you say it... yes... I scanned an entire Captain Carrot run :whee:

 

CAPTAIN CARROT # 1 THROUGH #20 - FULL VF/NM RUN - $25

 

Those who enjoyed a simpler time in comics really dug this series when it started way back in '82 and hated it when it ended almost two years later.

 

This is an original owner collection who bought them at the Food City on Snapps Ferry Road in Greeneville, TN off the spinner rack. How do I know that... because that owner was me :cool: You better believe the hot checkout girl knew my 13 year old arse was the bomb when I laid these on the counter every month along with my phat, zip up coin purse :facepalm:

 

The reasoning for the VF/NM average is mainly from storage issues. I had each one individually bagged... but not boarded... so that slight "long box bowing" has occurred over the last 30 years. Its not horrible, but its there on some and less on others.

 

Highlights include the appearance of Oklahoma Bones in #5, Masters of the Universe insert in #9, Earth C crossover with the Justa Lotta Animals in #14 and a popular Teen Titan crossover in #20. I consider each of these issues a gem... you will too if you haven't experienced the Zoo Crew before :grin:
