PGM - Hulk 1, 1962, UK/Pence Copy

Good morning, All...I have a Hulk that appears to have rough outer edges, but gets nicer the further you go inward. Thank you, in advance, for grading!

I going to say 1.8 with paper loss on the back

2.0 as I have seen this issue twice with that much or more paper loss on the fc and still got 2.0!

1.5 IMHO! I'm thinking that in addition to the all of the spine wear, readers crease and missing piece on the back cover the top of the spine is split all the way to the top of the top staple? If I'm mistaken then maybe bump to 1.8!

 

Still a fantastic book to own. Is the issue date the same as the North American copy or slightly later?

Issue date is the same, and you are correct about the spine being split all the way to the top of top staple.

Absent the piece in the back, I see this grading at a 2.5, and certainly no higher than a 3.0 because of the spine wear. With the substantial piece missing in the back, I'd say 1.5 is the most likely grade.
