Anybody Watching Wolverine Host The Tony's Tonight?

99.99% of the people expected to tune in do not go to Broadway to see a show.

@ $100 for an evening for two it's too much. This should be televised in NYC,

because outside of there, no one cares.

I don't have TV, or I'd be watching it. I'm a big musical theater nerd too, though I've found Broadway less exciting in recent years. Poorer acting, and poor show choices (such as Shrek the Musical and many others).

Hmm... sounds like an opinion more than a statistical analysis with real data. I don't live in NYC but I have been to a Broadway show and couldn't wait to watch The Tonys last night. Great entertainment. My sister and girlfriend are the same data points - i.e. live outside NYC, have been to Broadway shows and circled the telecast on their calendar.

The reason they have successful touring Broadway companies is because people very much care and enjoy seeing the Broadway shows.

This board really needs a live theater sub-forum.

That's a good idea.

We can have lengthy discussions of Spiderman and Sailor Moon live-action musicals. :juggle: I'd see a Sailor Moon live action, but has anyone who does comic books actually seen the Spiderman musical?

Hugh is a classy guy and the Tony's were fun this year. Still, seeing that Hedwig and the Angry Inch has been around long enough to now win awards for "Best Revival" only makes me feel that much older. Ugh.

That would be wicked!

Would that be wicked or....Wicked? ;o) Speaking of, since you are an Idina fan, what are your favorite roles of hers?

We say "wicked" so much in New Hampshire, I forgot about that role of hers. lol

I loved her in Rent, Barefoot at the Symphony and obviously... her work in Frozen. Never caught her work in Wicked, I wish I had. I bought the seasons of her appearances on Glee on the cheap, but I don't think that show is for me as I can't really get into it. I'll pick up the cd to her new show sometime soon (and Wicked). Hopefully, I can see it instead this Fall. I've really gotten into stuff lately and she's wicked funny on Facebook.
