There will be 9 holes (books to grade) This invitational open is open to everybody!! Submit your grades within the links provided below. The last of the three books will be uploaded tonight and links will be added to this tournament sheet at that time. This tournament will finish on June 20, 2014 10PM EDST. Results will be posted soon thereafter.

Here are the rules:

 

1. You can only submit one (1) grade

2. You cannot edit your grade or post - you will be disqualified for that round and penalized with the maximum number of "strokes" posted in that round +1.

3. Just like golf, the low score overall is the winner.

4. A correct guess scores 0 points and for every grade, either higher or lower than the actual grade 1 point is added. So if you are one grade above or below the actual grade your score is 1. Two grades above or below the actual grade and your score is 2, and so on. (Statistics and analysis provided by Keston (Vision75) with many thanks)

5. The time limit is posted above. Grades entered after the time limit posted will not count and just like editing a grade or post you will be penalized the maximum number of "strokes" in that round +1.

6. There are prizes for the first and second place winners as generously donated by Hector (jsilverjanet) with many thanks! Images of prizes will be posted later)

The only issue I have with this is that because it's 9 books, those threads will constantly get updated and knock other books from the first page (like my Teen Titans 44 ) furthermore this goes against the same guidelines you stated (4 books per day)

 

I suggest only grading 3 books per week - but it may be too late for that now.

Hi Hector,

Kevin spread the nine books out over a three day period to maintain the original three books per day guideline. We just thought it would be fun to make it a contest of sorts since the books were graded at CGC and are due back shortly.

 

I understand your concern about constantly updating and bumping other books and that is something that I hadn't taken into consideration and for that I apologize. I will personally bump any book that appears to have been lost in the PGM thread to garner some more grades.

 

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and it is something that we will definitely look into for future grading contests. It is somewhat of a goal to try and keep a running score of forumite guesses on books that actually get CGC graded,
