Been around for 4 years now.

Won an Eisner.

Worth a couple of bucks tops.

Can't ever see how a movie or TV series can be made. Sad I have to state that.

 

But by god - it's the best series I have ever read.

 

10 issues - I recommend you buy the TPB, get comfy, turn your phone off, grab a bottle of something nice and immerse yourself in it.

 

To even hint at the story will give spoilers - but I personally feel that the more 'life experiences' you have - the more you will "get" it.

 

You have to read the first 2 issues to pick up the premis - and then the issue titles become brutally clear.

I unashamedly admit that when I saw the title to issue 5 - I went 'oh krap'.

 

Masterful writing and art - and I wish I could say more - I sobbed at the end of #5.

 

Life, Death and things more important are all in 'Daytripper'

 

I just wanted to say "Thankyou" to the boardie who recommended it in a thread last year.

 

Like I said - the more you have 'lived' - the more you will get out of this book - but I cannot recommend it highly enough.

 

A TPB is about $15 on ebay.

 

Anyone else enjoy this as much as I did?

The series was absolutely beautiful.

One of the few that I sent commentary to the artists about. It was too passionately written to not recognize it.
