Has been?

Speaking of which, how is Darryl Hall?

:baiting:

It shows you what I listen to, doesn't it? Ignore anything under the heading of "Ultimate Duran Duran Playlist" it's where I hide my porn from my wife.

I was wondering....sub-folders go something like Girls on Film, Secret October, and Hungry like the Wolf?

I was telling my girlfriend about Nickelspot's recent Facebook troubles and it led to a very disturbing comment.

I'm not a fan of Facebook, in fact I avoid it at pretty much all costs. So I told her about Nickelspot's thread, went and reported the bad page...conversation over right?

Nope. About 5 minutes later she says, " you know, you shouldn't bad mouth Facebook, the cgc boards are basically the same thing with all the drama on there".

It was like one of those subtle land mines woman plant in our brain, cause at first I just laughed. But then I started to feel like I needed to defend the boards. We're not facebookish...are we?

Unless your name is, oh, Rick Remender.

Here? 1 thread.

Facebook? 4 bazillion posts, updates, shares, reshares....

Good point. But on FB, I primarily share fun life events/photos with friends - I don't do the other stuff. Except befriend artist/creators!

CG is Facebook (so is the WC).

The rest of the boards, no.

add the general sales discussion and probation discussions to that mix

Send me some lives for Candy Crush.

Marvel Puzzle Quest is where it's at. The best part is, you actually have to think about what you are doing instead of simply dealing with the luck of the draw with Candy Crush.

don't we need another alliance member???

A couple of guys don't seem to be playing anymore. I have no problem opening up another slot or two. That game has really been my sanity for the last few months especially March and April.

Your girlfriend is correct in the sense there is drama here (especially comics general). For anyone to suggest otherwise is an attempt at fooling themselves

I'm not on facebook much but I never see drama in my news feed

Have a few artists, writers, creators, etc. in your news feed and watch the sparks fly every single time there's even the slightest controversy in comics, movies, or the world in general.

It's a full on hair on fire situation 24-7.

Man, no kidding. Between artists talking about losing weight and how other artists are bagging on them publicly, very few have time to actually comment about "news" in the industry.

You can safely tell your girlfriend a forum works in an entirely different manner, IMO. :)

Of course, one needs to understand how to better use it, but in a forum conversation is focused on topics, and its quality is what you make of it.

This may be true for Facebook as well, but as any other telematic means on the Internet it works in a different way.

I don't understand why anyone's facebook would have drama. If I get a whiff of drama or weirdness I unfriend. Even my best friend's wife I unfriended and no hard feelings we still talk. She scolded me about a joke I made on FB so I dont wanna be a nuisance to my friends so I unfriended her.

You are correct, I should have explained further that I have no drama in my news feed because I took an artist or two out of the feed, lol.

One legend in the field would cry on a daily basis about how one of the "big 2" was offending him and how people were stupid if they didn't follow his political party

Yeah, I had to cut him loose, too.

Politics and FB is not a good mix. One artist friended me I saw all his posts were political rants. Defriended him pretty quickly.
