For me, it's been the same collection since I started collecting... Bill Woo's.

That collection isn't nearly what it used to be...most of the major pieces have been sold off.

I remember checking out Bill Woo's collection on a fairly regular basis back when he had his own website for it (mythanosart.com). INSANE is the only word for it. Absolutely EPIC in every way. Among countless other gems, he also had the cover to ASM 252. Would love to know where that one is today.

For those who dont know what were talking about, here's a list of his non-thanos art back when the site was active...

I know he sold of some, heck, I own two pieces. But I didnt realize he had liquidated the lions share though.

I was always grateful to Bill for sharing his collection with everyone so early on. Absolutely one of the most impressive publicly viewable collections ever. There are other great collections-- many even greater than Bill's-- but most are kept under wraps for one reason or another. But Bill never hesitated to share it all, from his niche pieces to his undisputed grails.

The collection was always fun to drool over and for that reason, I'm sorry it's mostly broken up now and not all together. But I certainly wish Bill all the best and maybe we'll see him again down the line.

I emailed Bill a few months ago about a piece in his gallery but never heard back. I hope he is well and to see him at shows again. I met him at a NY show and he was always happy to show his pieces he had with him.

Bill's gallery has long been one of my favourites...mostly because of all of the Thanos and Infinity related art he has (had?). It saddens me to hear he's sold much of it off...i'm also a bit sad to know i may have missed out on acquiring some pieces i've long coveted (and likely couldn't have afforded anyway).

Mostly Sci-fi magazine cover art, but Glynn Crain has added some amazing pieces recently.

Glynn's collection is stunning!

There is some comic-book artwork in there - most notably two Wally Wood Weird Science covers!!

I really like Paul P's gallery. He's got a lot of nice pen and ink plus paintings which is what I really enjoy. Lot's of early 90's drek. Drek in a good way meaning the comics were massed produced and have little value today but the art memorable such as the Venom covers he has.

As a Carnage fan, his is my favorite.
