It is, but I've heard the waviness can return.

 

I believe you are correct. It can be pressed, but will probably return. Stains are there forever.

Its definitely not a Scandinavian language... looks belgian or dutch..

 

But from the comic itself its obvious that it is belgian...because it says so ;)

 

On the inside, it said "Printed in Sweeden", so I wasn't sure.
