Spider-Woman isn't good for women when she looks like this

I agree poorly drawn.

God forbid people question others' abilities and provide critiques instead of whining about the catch-all buzzword topic of the hobby: COMIC SEXISM!

Can you offer a critique of Lou Harrison's work here? I can't find anything wrong with this one!

Lou Harrison has been watching too many Buns Of Steel videos.

The Constitution shoop is really bad in the regular size, if you can find a bigger version.

I think she looks fine. She should look that way when slinking back in the bedroom or the kitchen to make me some bacon and eggs. :baiting:

Her neck and head is off where it should be. A little too far to one side. I'd like to retract my Liefeld comment, that's way too harsh for this artwork. A minor anatomy issue is not worth chastising the whole piece. I do like the pose. I think the shadowing on her neck (the implied trapezius muscle which connects directly to the neck and base of the skull) is going off in a direction that makes it look odd and not connected to the head. Perhaps a little shadow on her back behind her head would have helped a bit. Like I said, it's not much - but enough to make me look twice.

It's a little more apparant at full size:

I may be offended if the artwork didn't eat monkey gooch.

I'm more concerned with the freaks who think that's what a sexy female looks like, or even an idealized version.

Or that it's what any woman looks like, or that it might not take the removal of a few ribs for many of these brokeback poses?

So, this artist took a female superhero, one that has always been drawn with a heaving bosom, and wears a skin tight costume that accentuates said bosom, and who's power set includes emitting a "spoon" me stank that makes any man around her want to plow her, and he drew her CROUCHING?! That's the most sexist thing I have ever seen ever!

I've seen plenty of "movies" where women have arched their back far more "extremely" than that image.

It's possible.

Peace,

Thankfully they don't give any of the men in comics unrealistic body types and musculatures.

I don't know about sexist, but that outfit sure looks like it would be uncomfortable

The position isn't the problem, although it's poorly drawn.

The "outfit" looks so tight it's probably body paint.

Which means she naked... that's the problem.

There are problems and then there are problems.

This is neither.

I don't think it's a good idea for mainstream comics to go the porno route.

There's plenty of places to go look at naked chicks.

I certainly wouldn't be looking forward to the naked Hulk variant cover anytime soon.
