New Tick series announced

6 posts in this topic

I speculate that prices will rise in the short term as speculators rush to grab cheap copies, the price will plateau as the excitement wears off, then as new titles are optioned and people become impatient, the prices will dip, then people will post asking whether to hold their Ticks or sell, then someone will say this is a marathon not a sprint and if you sell now then you will miss the peak most will hold, then if the show actually gets made interest will pick up as the release date approaches, then after the show, if it kicks like the other Tick series :headbang: prices will slowly taper down to a new norm which will be a bit higher than the current prices due to an over abundance of supply but more demand, if the show sucks prices will plummet to near or below the current prices due to an over abundance of supply and equal or lower demand. (shrug)

This sounds about right. And there will be a 50-100 page thread that is ostensibly about the book but is really about the price spiral and the usual suspects bragging/pumping the prices ever upward because Tick is the next WD. Until the moment it is the next Sixth Gun or Clone.

Don't forget all the talk about magazine's which have Tick-like shadowy outlines that perhaps came out a week or so before the Tick comic itself and should be considered the true 1st appearance because the poster has stocked up on copies and wants to dump them at inflated prices.
