$1000 windfall; what one book (and grade) would you buy now?

Buy the best Hulk #181 you can get for a grand

^^ I'd go for this one. Amazing Fantazy #15 is already out of reach for 99% of the collectors out there. Wolverine is arguably the next most popular character out there behind Batman, Superman and Spider-Man. I think one could argue for Iron Man now, but Wolverine gets more exposure.

Wolverine is the AF #15 of the Bronze Age, as NM #98 is of the copper age.

I agree, buddy, but its still a cameo. Look at the top 2 in the census on 134 vs FP 1.

A Nice copy of ASM 13,14, or 15, and Avengers 57..

an 8.0 ish ASM 15 would be very nice..

Also I'd like to upgrade my Avengers 57 to a 9.0 or so if that is still around the $1k mark..

so between those 2??

Id pick a nice Avengers 57 for now. not too many of those out there (along with 55) but there are enough Hulk 181's and ASM 129's to keep dealers well fed for centuries..
