When did Inking Bluelines start?

Contemplating bidding on a Marvel page dating from y2000, I have evidence of some blueline inking on this title as early as y2003 (though by a different artistic team)

 

How confident can I be that this is a combined art page?

 

(I've already emailed the inker, awaiting a response)

I guess, the answer to that question is: 'it depends'. Some more details, please: What title are you referring to ? And what creative team ?

I think he is being vague on purpose, and wants a general rule. I'm actually curious myself, after 2000 seems about right but I don't know either.

So, does that mean that all my post 2000 pieces are now 'inks on blueline printouts', instead of 'inks on pencils' ? I sure hope not, I paid a f*ckton for them.
