What is in the CGC case?

You can see a piece of paper in the case sticking out from the comic in the top left corner. Doesn't appear in the back scan as far as I can tell.

It's not a scan. It's a photo and it's horrible.

 

If there's paper sticking out it's probably the microchamber paper GCC places in each comic.

But that looks like he tossed it on top of a piece of paper already laying on the carpet. So it shows trough the slab, along with all the glare and reflections.

It's just two slabs stacked on top of each other with a piece of paper between them...

 

Like someone said, if that paper was in the book, it would be going through the spine.

I think the picture of the back without the paper showing would be the reassurance that it was something underneath the slab. Had there been no back picture I can almost understand the theory that something was in the case.
