That line is a production defect on the book. I've seen it on several copies.

Yep, Shep. Mine has it. This is my copy I bought off the stands. I don't see why yours wouldn't be similarly graded. Anywhere from 9.4 -.9.8 because it is so hard for me to do high grades from a scan (well any grade )

 

Great book! As an aside, I remember how much I liked this cover and thought that was an old Dr. Strange (Mentor, really). Hey I was only 11 and had been buying for a bit then
