Garage Days Re-revisited EP.  My first Metallica buy in the late 80s.

The shop assistant looked at me absolutely terrified when I bought it.

Same reaction when I got Master of Puppets a couple of weeks later.

My friends were ahead of their time, being hipsters

They stopped listening to Metallica when the Black album came out. Said it was "too mainstream"

I still believe Master and Ride the Lightening are their best albums ever, but I really enjoyed Load and Reload.

Of their post Black albums, I think Death Magentic was the best.

Metallica has a special place in my heart. They were the rebel band I listened to. They were the ones that opened the door to death metal for me

Quality thrash metal, but spoiled sonically by the excessive compression for loudness which was in fashion at time.

Yes, I have to turn it down when listening on headphones

It was nice to have been part of the inspiration behind that album. Really wish it had been more popular.

Suicide and Redemption is a classic mix of solos, The Day That Never Comes is testament to heartbreak

Cyanide.... I wish I liked that song better, but hey, you can't rhyme Azrael

The Battle of Evermore (Remaster)

Led Zeppelin

From the album Led Zeppelin IV (Remaster)

I found the alternate take of When The Levee Breaks particularly enjoyable, but The Battle Of Evermore probably benefited most from the re-remastering. Great tune.
