Foil Covers from 90's

my friend and i have some chat today , he got a few lenticular / foil covers from 90's that has been damaged , but he keep the books in the boxes and also bag and board , so i want to ask , how to prevent oldies lenticular / foil covers from the 90's from damaged ? he say the foil turned into some dust

It may just be the nature of the foil.

I know with some Transformers toys, the foil paint will sometimes flake off over time.

I heard the best way is to put the comic in a bag, then put the bagged comic in another bag with a board to minimize rubbing against the board and any dust particles in between.

All my foil covers were scratched to hell when I dug them up from the garage. I think you'd need a sleeve made out of something softer than plastic, and definitely softer than foil.

local made bag n board , it's hard to find mylar in Indonesia
