I always have trouble deciding on a grade with those odd defects. I thought it looked a little better then a FN without the pop. Would the staple pop drop it down a couple grades?

Generally speaking I believe that Overstreet does not allow a grade higher than 4.5 for this, while CGC downgrades an average of 2 units, so if it is a VF+ it becomes a FN+ (as it was my Avengers #59 which I recently sold in my sales thread as such).

FN is the highest I give a staple pop (knocking anything from VF or above down to FN).

Otherwise VG territory for me.

Your scans clearly show the pop and the price reflects it for sure.

Since yours looks like a FN+/FNVF otherwise, I’d say a 4.5/5.0 according to CGC, or a 6.5/7.0 qualified stating the defect. (thumbs u
