if anyone was looking through the listing of books there were at least a dozen books identified as "andy Pandy 25" which was really his first appearance in Four Color 25. Also alley OOP # 3 the Gumos # 73 Marge and little LULU # 74

were all first appearances. and the reluctant dragon is also a rare book

[#@$%!!!] shoot at $1800 --- $25 a book

some goodies in there, but also a lot of so so stuff that may not fetch $5-10, particularly if it's not in top shape

a lot will depend on condition

definitely room for a nice profit if some of the good stuff is in nice shape

but does anyone really care about andy panda's first?

The four color 13 rarely turns up in nice shape. I have a copy with a detached cover. Those early four colors are just damn near impossible in higher grades. The Reluctant Dragon had a great cover and some cool pictures of Walt Disney on the inside doing some production work on some project.

Exactly. Can't tell what the grade is from this auction. Pig in a poke situation. Could do great, could do mediocre.

Does it all add up to more than $1800 though?

I saw about half a dozen books that were likely to be worth at least $100 in good condition and maybe $500 in VF. I am about 100 miles away from the seller so I was trying to work out driving up to inspect and purchase the books in person.

The pics were pretty mediocre, but if the books were untouched for 40+ years they could have been in very nice condition.

My Daughter is a big Panda Collector so I try to get her the Andy's when I can. I got her the # 25 for about 50 a year or so ago.
