This is a classic cover. To me, it's reminiscent of GA Detective covers.

My favorites are Iron Man 53 (with the cool 70s dude with the disco purple outfit, they're standing on a scale!) and Avengers 101 (the one with that gold dude) and 103 (the one with the sentinels).

I'd have to add Werewolf by Night #15 vs Dracula a classic Ploog cover, also WBN #32 though not a Ploog still a classic BA cover.

there aren't too many bad covers among DC horror comics from about 1970 through 1973/74. they're almost all pretty darn good actually.
