How secure is the bottom staple? It looks like a fair amount of wear around it. The toasted edges probably won't do too much to harm the grade by CGC standards, but the staple issues probably keep it in the 4.0/4.5 range.

I almost never use them!

 

With a detached staple… no higher than a VG, given the other defects I’d say.

From the interior pix that bottom staple barely looks like it's hanging on, so on review 4.5 is probably too high, but even if the cover was completely detached I would probably still call it a 3.0, so currently in between - maybe 3.5
