PGM: FF #45 (copy B)

Fantastic Four #45, copy B

I bought this copy with the assumption that the best it could come out was a 5.0 due to the missing chip at FCLR. What are your thoughts and experiences?

Cover is attached, but starting to break away from staples just a little. No rust on staples. Scans may make the cover look a little more yellow than it appears to the eye.

Missing chip on FCLR is 3/8"W x 3/16"H

Thanks for your opinions!

Jay at InvestComics.com seems to think there still is a lot of room left in this book:

... it’s time to strongly reiterate the absolutely, positively one of the best investments sitting out there right now. That investment is Fantastic Four #45 (1965). Could care less how high the price is for this comic right now. Buy it. Buy it. Buy it. This comic still has upside and will not stop for many many years. Here’s why...

Didn't read your link. I'm going by ebay sales and GPA recorded sales, it's a fact last month or so the book has been selling lower than the previous months.

I was just providing another perspective that I ran across -- but one that is based more on future speculation.

GPA data right now does show a general upward trend at 6.0, 5.5, 4.0, 3.0. 4.5 seems to be at a bit of a plateau and 5.0 definitely taking a dive as of late, which is what you were saying about mid grade values. Someone nailed a purchase of a 5.0 for $99. That was a deal.
