Question on NM98 spine tick

This might be the best forum for my question. Given the picture below, say the rest of the book is flawless, a total 9.8 candidate. What would you image that tiny color break on the spine would do to the grade? There is no stress or crease near it. Wish I had more pictures to show (even a better one than this), but I've handled this book directly and it's flawless except for what you see here.

 

Humor me (it's with CGC at the moment, in "Graded" status, so i should know the grade within a week when they ship it back).

I've seen similar breaks on a couple 9.8s, but I'll go 9.6.

I have a WD #19 with a similar break that is a 9.6 so I'm going to say the same - 9.6.

Not pressed that I know of and thats the only defect i was able to find after a throughout inspection...hopefully CGC ships it back soon and the grade gets posted. I got the book on the cheap side.

Congrats! I do think that book was a wobbler. I could have seen a 9.8 on that. I'm hearing CGC is on the tight side right now though.
