DC who's books dominated the Golden Age 893applaud-thumb.gif and issued in the Silver Age or MARVEL who was born at the same time as DC, but transformed the Silver Age and all those that followed with imagination, art, and it's own mythology. 893applaud-thumb.gif

My choice would be MARVEL. For it's unique style and amazing heros who are still dominate many of the forms of media, print and film.

Which would you wish to have and which collection would have greater worth??

I would much rather own an Action Comics #1 than a Marvel Comics #1

He asked about a complete collection of comics from either Publisher poke2.gif

Oh...

DC definately. I wouldn't of said that a couple years ago though.

Can I just have a copy of Superman #17 in a nice grade.

That's my second favorite superman cover ever after Action #1

I'm guessing the DC collection would have a much higher value. 3x ? Wizard does that "what's a complete run of (X-Men,Green Lantern, etc.) cost ?" feature. Maybe they'll do entire DC or Marvel someday. Would be interesting. I'm not a DC guy, but would have to go DC....

It's a tie. ACTION #1 is the better book overall, but MARVEL #1 has loads of interesting things between those covers. Outside of the Superman cover and story, ACTION #1's other stories are sorta boring IMHO.
