PGM: Avengers 57 (GRADE IS IN)

Hello everyone,

 

This book is super solid in hand, but it has a minor issue with the bottom left edge of the spine. With a press I could see this book being an 8.5 or 9.0 (without the spine issue). What do you guys think it would be bumped down to because of this nibble out of the spine?

Chunk is a pretty big deal.

Yeah, the pictures don't do the book justice. I really think that a nice press would make it look closer to an 8.5 or 9.0, but that doesn't matter too much because of the chunk...

 

I'm curious to see what CGC thinks, so I think I'll go through with the slabbing process.

Without the missing chunk it looks to be about an 8.0 or 8.5. I guess CGC went easy on the little chunk.
