Action 54 variation?

I have been looking at this auction for an Action 54

and am trying to decide if it was legit. It looks to me like the top has been trimmed. Then I was comparing it with the image from GCD and noticed that the DC logo centre is white rather than yellow with red letters. Also the Swastica on the conning tower has a white rather than redish background.

 

So then I had a look at some past heritage auctions and they match the ebay one rather than the GCD. Are there known variations of this cover or some other explanation?

It looks like the image on GCD is the odd one out. I wounder if some parts have been "colored in"

Here's the raw copy I sold on eBay a few weeks ago: Also white DC bullet.

 

 

The reason I sold it was it was a duplicate. I can check my other copy when I get home.

One of my favorite Action covers. I love the placement of the moon to spotlight the central action, and the allied ship in the distance that would have been toast if Supes hadn't come along to disable the German U-boat. All in color for a dime!
