House of Mystery 14, 1953

SO! Tape, whipstitch. AND glue, the triple threat!

A circus strongman couldn't bust that spine, lol

Chipping along upper edge, plenty of general wear, but the interior is tight (How could it not be?) with offwhite pages.

Take a reader for $12

Weird Thrillers 1, 1951

All these years, all those comics, this is the first time I've run across this title.

According to O'street, that's a Rondo Hatton photo cover. Pretty cool, actually.

Formerly whipstiched, still taped and glued, but displays pretty nicely for the

(lousy) technical grade. Interior is tight, offwhite -white pages.

Overstreet is just shy of $100, asking $75

Weird Thrillers 2, 1951

Moving up! This one is only taped and glued!

Not only did I snag a #1, I got this beautiful rag, and issue 5, coming up next.

POFC, taped and glued as mentioned, but solid interior with cream - offwhite pages.

Asking $30

Weird Thrillers 5, 1952

Well, this time Belt And Suspenders Guy mixed it up a bit, and instead of whipstitching, he smacked a few extra staples through the book

You just gotta wonder about these people...

Scan says it all, a nice displaying copy with the spine slathered in tape and staples, lol

Asking $30

Raggedy Ann and Andy 13, 1947

Nearly as nice as the last issue, and the staple's still attached, hurrah! Some sort of subtle miscut/misaligned thing going on here, I suspect if it were professionally pressed everything would align nicely again...I think.

Please note the small bug chew lower LH FC.

Asking $30 SOLD!

The Adventures of Bob Hope 29, 1954

Well, there's our buddy Bob surrounded by a bevy of cutiepoos! Gotta love it...

Flat, clean, square, good gloss, really just some minor general wear, very light dust shadow upper edge FC, should be visible in scan, and that's about it.

Snag this pretty copy for $50

Small chips out of the overhang on the upper edge FC, general wear. Pretty copy of a pretty obscure title.

Big dogear lower LH BC, small chip out lower BC, tight spine and CF, offwhite pages.

Asking $45

Mighty Mouse 4, 1947, TIMELY!

Heeeere I come to save the day!

Looks pretty sweet at first glance, but there's a sealed tear upper FC, and unfortunately there's a large light water stain starting above the Magnificent Rodent's right ear, and curling down the spine, across the bottom of the book, and back up the right edge.

Doesn't affect the readability a bit, barely noticeable on the interior, but it's there. Dammit.

Take home a pretty copy with a very large but very minor problem for $50 SOLD!

Nice snag and a "Paul" collection copy to boot. Man, these "Paul" books are really spread to the four winds now.

Mighty Mouse Adventures 1, 1951

Flat with good gloss, but there are two large NCB dogears upper RH FC, quite a few small spots FC, probably foxing, chip out LH BC, and the cover itself is yellowing, heading for brown. That being said, it's supple with no signs of brittleness. Interior is cream with tight spine and CF.

Becomes Adventures of Mighty Mouse with issue 2

Pick yourself a solid lower end book for $45.

Mighty Mouse 4 is SOLD! Thanks Comic!

That issue came from Lunatic Lowgrade Guy, but no idea how long he had it in his possession. Honestly, I spotted the "paul" when I bought it, and then promptly forgot about it, lol
