All right, that's the last book for the evening, I have GOT to get some chores done.

I've had more than one PM about a certain book in tonight's offerings, so keep in mind, :takeit: in the thread trumps any PM negotiations.

I'll be back early AM with a couple more interesting horror books.

All the DC humor I have has been listed, I'll have another batch of more obscure humor goodies tomorrow evening.

Okay! Here's The Big Kahuna for the entire thread.

ShockSuspenstories 6, 1953

Absolutely classic cover by Wally Wood, and with the exception of the lower RH FC with the small missing corner it's a beauty..

There are a few other small flaws, a couple tiny light stains, some rust on the lower staple (no migration) and a faint whiff of dirt on the upper back cover, but the book presents tremendously well, the spine and CF are tight, the book is flat, clean and glossy, and the interior is offwhite-white.

Asking $250 for a gem.

Hooded cowards in the night

Evil hatred knows no bounds

Torchlight flickers

Faces out of sight

The group it gathers round

Under moon

Clear and full

A womans bondage

Her life means nil

To fiends taking

Liberty as hostage

Robes ripple

Like the fire

Even though the

Night is still

Piercing gazes

Show no traces

Of humanity

Long gone

Cackles of glee

Yet in shame they shall flee

At the end

Of the victims

Dying song.

All right, second load of laundry is in the washing machine, time to start on the dishes.

Thanks to one and all, I appreciate the kind comments, and the flying flags!

My beloved, the Cat half of Catrick, will find a nice clean kitchen when she gets up in the AM...about three hours from now, she's working horrible hours this week.

G'night!

Eerie 12, 1953

Features a book-length Dracula story, adapted from the novel.

We're back to Belt and Suspenders Guy, spine is taped AND glued. Several of the interior pages have tape repairs to boot, and there's a quarter sized piece out of the lower BC. Other than that, the scan tells it all.

Take home a reader for $30

The Purple Claw 1, 1953

Featuring not one, not two, but SIX store stamps! Two on the front cover, two more on the back cover, one INSIDE the back cover, and one upper RH on page one!

Somehow I keep imagining Harpo Marx going crazy with the stamp, while Groucho and Chico try to wrestle it away from him, lol

Book has chips off both lower corners FC, bit of spine roll, 3/4 split upper spine, general wear. Tight spine and CF, cream to offwhite pages.

...And six store stamps, a personal record!

Yours for $60
