Ok, I am going to be a little tougher but the spine reading stress drops it for me down to VG- and you have to add the browning on the back cover. Consider there is also: scruffing, chip missing and color breaking creases and all on the right front edge. Eye appeal redeems this one, since it is holding tight for a black cover. I also think it doesn't help that the scan looks a little bit "washed out".

Question... is the cover as dull as it looks in the scan?

 

And does it have any spine roll?.. or just heavy reading creases?

 

I say.. 3.5 / 4.0 as I see it now.

And do you really think taking it outa the mylar 1 more time will really hurt the book more then it already is?

The cover is brighter than it appears, and there is NO spine roll. I just did not want to mess with the brightness and contrast controls because that may have been increasing the gloss.

Thanks to all for pitching in a grade, I had the book at VG 4.0, only paid $60 for it, so into the collection to appreciate.
