BB-Gun
Hope you like these, all ducks sorry no John Wayne. I really like the back covers, they are as good as the fronts. And of course my favorite. Got to go to Disneyland for the very first time last year. Have been to WDW many times so it was a great time seeing the first/original park. That Disneyland issue is in really nice shape. It was reprinted in the 1990s I think but I remember reading the original. I am still working on the Christmas Parade issues. I think I need two more. Although I might be confusing the Disneyland issue with this Christmas in Disneyland. Still missing Christmas Parade 3 and 5.
nothing_past_1992-migratio
Funny thing about Grandma, she would pencil in the Year on the front of the comic, but would never let any of the kids/grandkids cut anything out. "That would destroy the books."

nothing_past_1992-migratio
BB nice book, but no I don't have any of DD Fun Books. I also love the Christmas at Disneyland. They don't make them like that anymore. I do have Gene Autry Adventure Comic and Play fun book someplace. I took a quick look and couldn't find it, but I do have it cataloged. Cowboy's of course! Here's a Picnic Party And a Family Fun Hope you like this one. I have #5 but no 3 or 4.

BB-Gun
I am especially fond of these two parade issues because one has a 60 plus page Phantom Blot story and the other has 55 pages of art by Carl Barks. And I like those Gene Autry issues published by Fawcett.
BB-Gun
Jack, Thanks for posting the Christmas Parade 2. Here is a 4. Now we only need an issue 3 to finish the run.
BB-Gun
Grandma didn't take care of my Duck books. My little brother and I beat them up pretty good and the rest are from the flea market. Some of those Scrooge books are still pretty nice but they are mostly Gold Key.

BB-Gun
I was looking for Weird Menace covers when I saw this book in my archives and thought about the relationship between Barks and Hitchcock. Barks could draw monsters but in this cover he worked on the readers imagination. You can anticipate how ugly the monster is or how ridiculous. He was building up the suspense. Just like Hitchcock. It is the build up and not the actual event that gets most of the attention. It is a Different Philosophy from the current "car chase" movies and shoot-em-ups. bb
