Stickers on slabs from Comiclink

23 posts in this topic

Another boardie and I asked them at NYCC in 2014. They laughed and said, "No."

I forget what the other question was that they said they would look into.

As far as removing them? Let some WD40 dribble out of the straw and sit on top of the sticker. Go and do something else for about 15 minutes or longer and the sticker will come right off.

The only place I remember seeing CLink stickers is on the back of the "label" part of the slab. Who cares whether there's a sticker there—or 10 stickers for that matter. I don't spend much time reading the back of the CGC labels.

As the good Mr. Bob Storms once told me publicly in my own thread, "Why would I advertise for Comic Link when selling a book?"

Yeah, it's just frustrating.

They're the only ones in comics who put stickers on their slabs that don't easily come off.

It's worse that they don't care. Even before this issue they have one of the worst customer service rapports of any AH.

I hate those so bad!!! I sent 2 of mine in to re-slab them just to get those stickers off and I have never purchased from Comiclink since.

Slab vandalism sucks!!!! :sumo:

There was a thread about this around a year ago. Some here suggested goo gone or coconut oil, and I bet those probably work. A little olive oil on a soft cloth was recommended last time and I tried it. It worked like a charm.
