Midnight Special trailer

[50 Cent #II (1st)]

This looks interesting. Super power Sci-Fi, but don't think it's comic related other than that.

 

Has a feeling of Take Shelter (same director and lead actor who is also currently in The Night Before, Take Shelter is a great movie even if it has a dumb plot which basically was maybe sometimes you should believe the crazies even if for no reason), but also Powder (1995) and Starman (1984) as well as Heroes TV show all in this trailer. I'm intrigued.

I thought this new trailer looked pretty good, but not one replay. Maybe a bump for those that might have missed it.

Went and saw Midnight Special today. Was entertaining and well put together but the ending falls flat with little pay off. There is reference to Superman and the main character is seen reading Superman comic books so this one can be added to the comic books in movies thread in general. Think of it as a lesser remake of Close Encounters.
