It's funny because the covers for those four years really highlighted what was "hot" in the late 70s/early 80s: Eisner, Barks, Ward, EC.

 

I like Bill Ward and all, but he hit his popularity peak about 30 years ago, it seems, and hasn't come close. Barks as well. (I love Barks, but his Disney stuff has not really risen in value in decades.)

 

Still great books -- I have them all and still look at them periodically.
