Seriously, there's not much on GPA that helps - there was a 9.4 sale three years ago for $28K. No other recent sales of that book in 8.5 / 9.0. My guess would be around $6-7K.

 

I think more actually.

 

Look at Batman 8 and 10, which in all honesty aren't that much different.

 

I think it's a very low 5 figure book, depending on eye appeal and PQ.

I have a CGC 8.0 ow/w I bought in 2000. It's worth virtually the same as it was back then give or take, but rarely comes up for sale in decent grades. I don't get it. The cover is iconic and has been used in advertisements and other Bat books, but isn't designated a "classic" cover. What gives?

How much did you pay back in 2000? I just paid what I thought they went for in VF when CGC first came out for a VGF.

 

At least it didn't soar up before I snagged my copy. But I agree, I don't understand why this one isn't considered a classic cover.

:blush: Yes. They said "be honest". I would have bought the 9 for myself if the grease pencil was anywhere other than in the spotlight. It is just a little distracting, especially compared to the other 9.4. What a pretty book that is.
