That's sad to me. I didn't see Harley on the list of exhibitors this year either.

Harley is setting up in Canada this weekend.  Bills Books in Canton is the only comic vendor I know who is setting up.

Yeah i'm pretty sad Harley isn't coming i buy something from him every show i see him he's a nice guy with Super selection of books. I will be there tomorrow morning wearing a Mystery Men Comics Tshirt. I hope it's not the only GA cover in the room haha!! Oh well i've been buying so much lately i'm more or less just going to hang out with friends from out of town but if I do find something eclectic i need i will pounce on it but i doubt it. One of my friends coming collects from bronze to modern and has a few books on his hit list. I think he will have a much better shot at finding comics than myself. Agree with everyone though what a bad weekend to plan this around. Looks like ol' Dean Cain and Anthony Mackie/Falcon got on the list. The celebs really aren't my thing personally bit it's cool they got a couple more folks.

Great costume! That would have been a welcome sight in last year's sea of Harleys

How was the attendance? Any good booths worth browsing?

Thanks @Cascaders27 :) I went later in the day 4-7pm and there was a nice amount of people. I really enjoy the artist booths and got to meet Ben Templesmith this year, he was nice, was able to tell him I read 30 Days of Night and liked his art style in general. Last year I spent a lot so I tried to keep it to a minimum this year, especially since I have an eBay shopping addiction already. Hehe Not too many actual comic booths, mainly merch and art. Bought a few small things here and there. Every year I see the booth with the AWESOME metal work/nuts&bolts art, and EVERY year I say I am going to buy an Alien one and never do. Next year will be the year perhaps!

@1Cool I assume thats a bit of a dig at cosplayers in general, but trust me, I brought my wallet as per usual. :flipbait:

Glad you had fun @CrazyQuinn

I pretty much only go to cons to find GA books, so, sadly, even though I will probably be in Cleveland for lunch, I will not be attending.

I would love to go to a show with a bunch of gold books one day. The Motor City Con used to have a lot 25 years ago. What are the good shows for gold these days?

Bit of a dig but I also can't see you fitting a wallet into those shorts!

the one guy who I know was setting and selling books said he did very well.  I may go with the family this afternoon but nothing is set in stone.

No can do this year.  Just can't justify the $120 to get the three of us in the door.  Hopefully we all will get some good Con recaps next week.

I went Saturday morning as I mentioned with a couple buddies and we hit up the Casino afterwards. Showed up at opening time and stayed for around 4 hrs. Not many comic booths would be a correct analogy and the best books to be found were by far at Dave and Adams and RareHighGrade Bobs booth. The highlight of the show for me would probably be meeting Bob and getting to hold his Tec 31 which was the first for me. He was super nice and I will definitely be doing business with him in the future. Didn't buy anything this time around. There was a dealer out of PA that had a huge 2 dollar booth as well as a Ton of nice Silver and Bronze age stuff. This was a show that if you were in the market for a Werewolf by Night 32 or ASM 300 you would have found several of each. NOT a SINGLE Fox  hero book in the entire room that I saw and I asked. I also really didn't see any other esoteric stuff either like no MLJs although I did see an Archie 1 at DAs. The artists alley was cool and my buddies had a few commissions done as well as buying some original pieces of prints. I did buy a bunch of 2 dollar stuff which isn't like me and and few small print stuff including a book call the Specialists which is based on WWII. LOTS of Cosplayers and the Famous folks were set up a little different this year being in the middle which was cool if that was your thing. So to sum things up as expected no one really had anything up my particular alley of interest besides Bob and D&As but if you were into SA to modern stuff you would have had a blast. Hats off again to Blazing Bob and Dave and Adam I hope had a good show and I saw picking up a little SA collection (FYI Carbo was not present doing the buying if anyone is interested) Toys and merchandise/ gaming/ a virtual reality booth set up by State Farm all represented this Con. The aisles really started filling up by 2 PM with cosplayers and the like and thats when we ducked out and hit up the buffet haha!! We had a great time all in all but I would 100% rather go to show in small hotel conference room but this seems to be the way of the future con.

this was the only Cosplay pic i took and since we were talking about the no pocket thing earlier (Great Zatanna gettup btw CQ) This individuals Stranger Things costume was nuttier than squirrel poop!! Honestly couldn't figure out how someone was wearing it literally dragging it around. It was awesome and all but that had to be more uncomfortable than a nun in a cucumber patch!! Just my 2c. All kinds of kinds i suppose ?
