Hey Guys,

 

I have acquired a Sandman 18 comic book and recently realized it's got the 'rare' 3 blue panels on first page.

 

condition is NM to NM+ and I have no idea how to value this thing. There is little to no data that I can find from a few searches online (note: I don't have GPA - I'm not even sure if GPA would have any recorded sales)

 

There is one copy on ebay CGC 9.0 asking $1999.99 with 7 watchers.

The guy asking $2k for a CGC 9.0 copy is smoking crack.

 

You're looking at $150-200 for a CGC 9.4 or 9.6 copy, probably $100-125 if you just sell it raw.

Thanks for the replies.

 

I'd be happy with $200 for it... just knowing that alone makes slabbing a worthwhile expense.

 

For what little I paid for it, this is a nice surprise.

 

I wasn't going to pay to slab it if I'd only get $30-40 for it.

Possible, but not likely (and definitely stupid, considering they can get them for much, much less.)

They seldom know what they're talking about.

 

There are a LOT more #19s out there than 2,000+, unless the "+" means 10,000 or more.

I picked up yet another NM- raw copy for $90 on ebay back in November.

 

The people who want this book don't really care about condition which is why the selling price range for anything that's not a CGC 9.8 copy will be about the same no matter what the grade is ...

And a buddy just told me he sold a raw copy about for $200-300 CAD about 15 years ago. Another guy just told me he sold his raw 9.6-9.8 last year for $500.0 CAD!!! :o
