Popular Post Jesse-Lee
Story time (sorry, long post incoming): Last week, I lucked out on finding 3 lots on eBay all on the same day, within about 2 hours of each other. All 3 sales had similar characteristics, in that their titles were somewhat incomplete (as it pertained to key books in the lots), as were the photos. I was super happy to come away winning all 3 lots - there was a bit of a leap of faith involved in 2 of 3, but I'm pleased to say it paid off. The first lot was listed as a "Batman 379-391 13-book lot," and had this photo as the main (all of the other photos were basically just different angles of this stack): It was listed at a $40 BIN with $5 shipping. I could see the 386 poking out, and the books looked in decent shape, so I jumped at it. Here they are: The second lot was from the same seller as the lot above, and was listed as "Batman 408-474 (missing 472)" with annuals and "extras" - a 79 book lot total. This was the main pic, and all the other photos were of the annuals and extras, no additional photos of the core books aside from this pic of the stack: This one was an auction with a $100 starting bid and $13 shipping. I decided to take the chance and bid, and I was the sole bidder. All 79 books showed up as promised, here are some of the highlights: Almost all of the Batman books had prices on the bags - I'm not sure if someone just went through and put prices on their own collection, or if this was some sort of store liquidation or what - here are a couple of examples from before I re-bagged them: And finally, the last lot (different seller) was listed as "Venom 1-24 plus annual complete series 2018 NM." This was the main photo, and there was one other photo that was basically just this photo over again but with the ashtray cropped out: This one had a starting bid of $20 with $13 shipping. I was skeptical of it, but I ended up bidding and winning the auction for $44. It came in the mail yesterday. There was a faint cigarette smell to them, but even after just one day of airing out, it's almost completely gone: I was really excited to find all this - I ended up with 117 books total for about $215, with a couple of home run books in there. There are still some great hunts on eBay! Edited March 7, 2023 by Jesse-Lee ThothAmon, Timmay, darkstar and 9 others

Popular Post Jesse-Lee
I paid $30 (plus $12.50 shipping) for this crazy Batman-related lot on eBay. Some condition issues on a few of the books as to be expected. But for the ones I wanted the most out of the lot, I was pleasantly surprised - especially on the Joker books and most of the TPBs and prestige-format books: littledoom, cabinboy, electricprune and 4 others
Popular Post october
This was a cool find for me on eBay from earlier this year. The first comic annual ever and one of the first DC (National) titles produced. Very rare. Didn't fit my collection though, so onto Heritage it went. It was fun owning it for a while though. valiantman, Jesse-Lee, ThothAmon and 8 others

Popular Post Jesse-Lee
Saw this listed as "Batman Killing Joke reprint" with only a pic of the front cover. Sometimes a person's lighting in photos can make a 6th print look like a 9th, but I felt fairly confident this was a 9th print. Got here today and it's definitely a 9th! It was $25 BIN with free shipping. And I also won two 60-book lots (120 books) from the same seller for $75 total, shipping included. Here are the highlights - the rest are $1 bin books for sure. cabinboy, ADAMANTIUM, Artifiction and 3 others

Yes they are and even harder to find still sealed. I had this set on my want list for a LONG time. Fortunately there was a board member who sold me theirs for $200 about a year ago. I haven't seen another surface until you posted yours. If you do decide to sell yours I definitely would be interested. Jesse-Lee
kenaran
Well this is two wins, the biggest was this Superman Multi-pack, mostly sealed, small but stable tear in the plastic at the upper right corner. Got it about a month and a half ago in a 60 book bulk lot for about $53 total. Still can't quite believe it. The other was this lot of N52's. I'd pretty much sworn off the variant covers for this era, but seeing 'those' two covers, plus three newsies, plus three more issues in a BIN for $20 certainly changed my mind. Looks like the actual value on the two variants has cooled significantly, though BV on comicbookrealm is still w-a-y up there. masterlogan2000, Jesse-Lee, ADAMANTIUM and 1 other

I'm 99% sure that multipack was from the same seller I got my Batman multipack (among other books) - I was the under-bidder on the lot you won; I should have been more aggressive! Nice books, congrats!! kenaran
Coverdeath
I just won my first auction few minutes ago, I totally overpaid but i would have done it again and again for this book that I desired for a while... Just worth it for this panel... I don't read the actual Bat books but as I know Zur-En-Arrh start to get more importance, I bet this book could up in the several next years, surprisingly no copy higher than 9.2 on the census, if some higher are found and slabbed the record price could be astonishing in my opinion. @Jesse-Lee Edited June 23 by BA773 Artifiction and Jesse-Lee
Jesse-Lee
Won this random, 3-book lot on eBay for $35: ASM 41 ToyBiz reprint: Spawn 200 - Silvestri cover: Star Wars Fan Club Special 2010 - given to active members of the Star Wars Hyperspace Fan Club, which was disbanded in 2010, so this book was in the last fan club kit they created: littledoom, ADAMANTIUM and masterlogan2000
