Age of Apocalypse Collection Price

51 posts in this topic

I am trying to sell my comic collection. I have a guy interested, but he says he wants to pay 20 cents a comic, except for my original run of Age of Apocalypse. Those he said he would pay a bit more. Do you have an idea of what my AOA collection might be worth? And is 20 cents a comic a good price?

All of my comics are X-Men related and most are from mid 2000's to 2007.

Thanks

AoA is mid 90's and they aren't worth anything either.

Welcome to the boards

They are worth more as a collection. It would cost you more to try to put together the entire set piecemeal.

I have the entire collection. Make me an offer for more than $1 a book. No? Didn't think so.

Just a few examples of what actually sold, not just completed. If I were to take you up on your offer, I'd turn around and flip it on eBay.

Someone had a full set at a recent show. They were asking $125. It gathered some interest but didn't sell.

At breakdown, he was offering it for $75. I'd have bought it for $40.

I might be interested if anyone has a full set to sell.

Great info. I bought a complete set for $50 and resold it for $125 in a couple weeks. People are willing to pay a premium for the complete set.

How many are in that set - 50 books? I'm always buying them for $50 a set if you are selling.

The AOA sells ok as a set, but even then you're talking $2-$3 an issue.

Most of those x-men books are found in dollar boxes throughout the land, so someone paying 20 cents each in bulk is not unreasonable as dollar boxes are often actually 15 or 12 for $10.

How many comics are we talking about total? Are they bagged and boarded?

Not much in the way of keys during this period except first Fantomax, 2d Fanto, 1st Negasonic..any others?

Shops are not generally going to pay more.

You might do a little better selling this as an x-men long box on ebay, but maybe not. and then you have to ship the darn thing.

Odd that you have AOA but all your other x-men stuff is 10 years later?
