Infinite Bronze Romance Thread

I have yet to buy even a single issue of a Marvel BA Romance book. I've got the Night Nurse series but I don't consider that Romance. These things are hard to find, especially in a nice grade for a decent price. The hunt continues......

I have a couple...every time I post it greggy says "Tool---Warehouse find" tongue.gif

Yes, it was about $13 bucks. Surprisingly low when I've seen and heard others even in this grade go for 4-5 times that amount in the past. The copy I bought in Good was $20. I think this one was mostly passed over because the seller mentioned that some of the pages were not stapled, makes it sound like there was a tear. But this book was bound and stapled with one staple missing some pages that shifted away from the spine during production, so there are no tears. Nice copy but certainly plenty of cover wear.

Those are cool books Luxx. I like the "Girl With The Reputation". Glad you have more romance than anyone. What do you like better, the sex stuff or the romance stuff as I know you (as well as I) have plenty of both. In a sense, some of the romance stuff is even sexier than the sex stuff since these books were published during more "innocent" times. And some of the poses on romance covers are very suggestive even though they try to come off as being "innocent".

Couldn't ve said it better, myself, BassGMan.

(ed. note: What, exactly, does your screen name say about you?)

I'm a conniseur of the art, as well as the sociological reflection of the era.

(Kinda campy, now. But still pure and earnest)

I, also, saw three (3) niches I could specialize in:

Romance (some Golden, mostly Silver and Bronze)

Charlton

Modern Bad Girl Art

(Ed. note: I don't get an from drawn porn. Too much information? TMI?)

These will become valuable once other collecters realize their across-the-board appeal.

"What do you like better, the sex stuff or..." Quote - BassGMan

Just expanding on the implied nature of your question.

Just asking which you prefer (had you to choose just one to focus on). I actually think the Bronze romance can be pretty sexy stuff (no, it does not literally "turn me on" - it's just sexy). Whereas the nude and sex-based modern stuff leaves nothing to the imagination, although the art is very cool to look at. I like the mystique about the "good girl" images on the romance covers more than the slutty over the top chicks in the modern books (NOT that there is anything wrong with sluts devil.gif).

I'm still not sure why more guys don't pick up on this and instead just look at them as girlie comics. confused-smiley-013.gif But what is weird is that just about everyone has respect for Archies, Harveys and funny animal books geared towards kids. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

But Romance books are sissy books? I don't think so.

These romance comix reach across generations. They are eternal, unending and infinite.

(They, kind of, in an off-kilter, "politically inccorrect", (ironic?) way

hold up for us hope that we, too, can love and be loved.)

MY FAVORITE COVER (Currently)
