And finally, this little bad-azz.... I just love that Bronze Age Orange, especially the contrast with the green German helmets...

While not as purdy as your books Shep, I couldn't pass on these SSWS from the LCS this weekend. Kubert on Unknown Soldier, and Enemy Ace, and a Heath Balloon Buster story to boot, pretty darn cool stuff.

I need a high grade copy of that book. It's one of my first war books. My dad took me to a comic con in New Britain, CT back in the late 70's and he bought me that book, a OAAW 242, and a couple others. :cloud9:

And one book for Karma or Larry and I knew it would only be a matter

of time before I started grabbing a few SGT Furys and I've always liked

this cover in honor of our famous Paratrooper.

I like how realistic it is with Fury jumping with his cigar in his mouth. :insane:

I'm on a bit of a self imposed buying hiatus but I decided to pull the trigger on this one. Only one on the census.

Fabulous book, Jeff.... those dollar size books are truly hard to find in grade.

Nice one,

Shep

I'm still searching for that DC Special Series # 13 and one came up

on e-bay in around VF/NM condition but unfortunately it was "Dodofive"

auctioning it and I won't go near either of their sites since they lost my

bought and paid for OAAW 244 in NM- condition. :frustrated:

I considered going after that one. My copy from Lone Star, graded by them as NM is NOT NM. :(

And I FINALLY got a decent copy of Weird War Tales #69... which completes my set. Of course, if anyone sees a raw NM+ copy, please call.....

Congratulations on completing your set, Shep!!! (worship)

Very nice accomplishment! :applause:

Hey Andy,

Thanks man. The truth is, I did have my 'original off the stands' copy, but I gave it to my son and it has since gone AWOL.... this was the last one I needed for my high grade, nobody-touches-them collection.

Some of the best covers of the Bronze age, between Kubert and Luis Dominguez!
