Seriously though. That's a nice copy. I'm pleased as punch to have my 4.0 but I certainly wouldn't mind a higher grade. Oh well, it's not to be. Anyhow, my next grab will (hopefully) be a GIC 87.

OAAW #220 is just a great issue... lovely Kubert art in there.

Thanks Shep, the 220 is a book I've wanted for a while, it really is a classic.

I am very fond of the Severin OFF run, that was right in my wheel house as a kid and i was very happy to replace those issues

Great books Karma, Those types of covers like GI Combat 160 are what got me into reading war comics (How the heck did they get out alive)!!! Good finds.

Ooooh, that is just about my favorite Severin Losers tale too.... man.

 

As nice as it is, $2500 feels a little steep to me. Still, that is an awesome story... and unusual. Severin's DC war art comes to market only very, very rarely. That is the first complete story I have ever seen.

Hey lads,

 

Just got a NIIIICE package in the mail. Last week, I nailed a large (70 books) high grade lot of Sgt. Rock books. The books were listed as 'Mostly NM', and there was only one scan... so it was a bit of a dice roll.

 

Anyway, books showed up this morning, and at first glancebroke down this way:

 

10% 6.0-8.0

10% 8.0-9.0

20% 9.0-9.2

60% 9.4 and up.

 

So, overall I'm pretty happy. Anybody else nail any decent war lots lately? I'd LOVE to find a similar G.I. Combat lot, but that does not seem likely.

 

I'll try and post a few of the books tonight when I get home.

I have a bunch of those as readers but not high grade. Nice job.

Frank Redondo wasn't up there with Joe and Russ but he was pretty darn good.
