Calling comic detectives on an CGC Amazing Fantasy 15

Hello fellow comic lovers,

 

I'm looking for any help that fellow board members can provide on sleuthing out if there is anything suspicious or fraudulent on a book I'm being offered. Here is the book:

 

CGC Amazing Fantasy #15

 

Can anyone help me to know if this is legit? The seller's feedback is solid. When I asked why the listing was ended so quickly they stated that a buyer backed out of the sale. As you can expect this is NOT an inexpensive purchase I'm looking at here.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If a buyer backed out of the sale the item would have sold therefore it would be a sold item. Also it would have been relisted immediately. I'm not buying it.

There seems to have been hacked accounts of people who then try to sell high priced comics like AF15. I'd personally rather not deal with trying to get my money back should things go wrong.

A big thank you to cousin itt here! This info was very helpful in learning more about the book.

 

Bad, but not unexpected, news was it appears a good ebay seller account was hacked. After a few more emails trying to flush out more from the would-be seller they disappeared.

 

I'm still attempting to find the current owner of the book if anyone happens to know who that is and could help me out.

Right and they frequently run those 5X or 10% and 4X or 8% eBay bucks promos at least twice a month. So on a $1K gift card that is $100 in eBay bucks.
