theCapraAegagrus
It's closer to a 1-star movie than a 5-star movie, sadly. Hopefully any planned sequels are better. They'll need different writers and to commit better to the CGI. Maybe Larson needs an acting coach for the role. Find out who helped turned Ridley from potato to good for The Force Awakens. Edited May 29, 2019 by TwoPiece For clarity, I'm not saying that Larson is a "potato", but she didn't nail the role. Not every great actor is great in every role. And in yet another strange case of Captain Marvel's art imitating life(such as trolls saying Brie Larson needs to smile more), the dude playing the dude who is the poor victim of Vers' evil evil crime against poor white men across the world is John Kazinsky, who has actually been accused of sexual harassment in real life. When i wrote this, it was considered and promoted as an extended scene. It wasn't a "deleted scene", the scene occurred differently in the theatrical cut. Sites like CBR called it a extended scene as shown in the link below, and cheered it on like it was some great thing fighting "toxic masculinity". Its clear a lot of captain marvel fans wanted to see her assault the man who didnt respect her properly as shown by the glowing cheering reviews the scene got when it was released. I don't find torturing and robbing people who cant fight back as very heroic or noble. https://www.cbr.com/captain-marvel-toxic-masculinity-extended-scene/ theCapraAegagrus

I don't find torturing and robbing people who cant fight back as very heroic or noble. https://www.cbr.com/captain-marvel-toxic-masculinity-extended-scene/ An extended scene is a continuation of a scene that is in the movie but was edited short for time. So the media and the Captain Marvel Youtube hate machine are labeling it wrong. It's a deleted scene or an alternate version of a scene. But more than the articles headlined with "Captain Marvel fights toxic masculinity" are the Captain Marvel hater articles and Youtube videos who have found renewed energy for their apparently undying Quixotic battle against a fictional movie character. It's a little amusing but also groaning, especially when I have to explain to my Youtube obsessed nephew or ignoramus friend that Carol Danvers isn't a super-villain. A good rule of thumb for casual moviegoers is "if it isn't in the movie, it didn't happen." But on the other hand, it can be said that our main character, Vers, is not a true hero for part of the movie. She is part of a Kree Special Forces unit who have their own best interests at heart. The movie is about her finding herself, readjusting to Earth norms, and yes, becoming a true Marvel hero. It's a story you've seen in the first Iron Man, Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man, and Doctor Strange. Former a-holes who become heroes. But you don't see the Youtube haters calling out those other Marvel heroes because they, for some reason, don't threaten said haters' easily triggered conservative world view. But if you're so concerned about the poor Don losing his motorcycle, you can rest easy knowing he most likely got it back after she deserted it at Pancho's Bar and hitched a ride with Fury to the military base. But none of it would have mattered if Carol Danvers had let the Accusers destroy Southern California in their quest to purge the planet of Skrulls at the movie's climax. The Last Jedi was massive by nearly any metric. - 1 of only 10 movies to gross more than $600 million domestic - # 9 on the all-time chart domestically, with $620+ million (just $3 million behind The Avengers) - Adjusted for inflation, it's in the Top 50, ahead of Rogue One, Revenge of the Sith and Attack of the Clones. And unlike the original trilogy, it's not (yet) been re-released. - Ahead of Batman ('89), all three Lord of the Rings films and all eight Harry Potter films. - # 12 all-time worldwide, ahead of every Star Wars film but The Force Awakens. You can hate on The Last Jedi all you want but the numbers don't lie -- it was a financial juggernaut and incredibly successful.

Quote In a post on Reddit, a user named ‘TheMarvelScoopMaster’ has revealed numerous details regarding the second Captain Marvel film. The sequel will reportedly take place between Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame, placing the film’s setting between the 90s and early 2020s – thanks to the five-year jump after Thanos’s snap. The leak reads: ‘The film will involve the Kree once again and the Skrulls, and focus on their conflict. Carol [Captain Marvel] learns of a “super weapon” and goes on a search for it, only to realise it’s Korvac.
